Circa 1900 German Workshop Amati Copy
We see lot's of old German violins in the shop, and this particular instrument is exceptional. Recently set up by our good friend Brandon Johnson, this violin will speak well to the fiddle crowd, with it's lovely reed-like timbre and lot's of volume on tap.
No major repairs are evident on this instrument, and the scroll and woods are indicative of a workshop grade instrument. Very lovely flamed maple back and ribs.
Currently setup with a Wittner tailpiece and D'Addario Helicore fiddle strings.
