Circa 1900 Mittenwald "Calico" Violin
$2,999.00
This incredibly lightweight and responsive violin was most likely made just before the turn of the century in Mittenwald, Germany.
Boasting a "calico" finish that is indicative to the region and time period, this instrument is in unbelievable shape for being over one hundred years old.
Setup by John Montgomery of Raleigh, NC, this instrument will please the fiddle crowd with it's reed-like vocal midrange and ample volume.
No visible major repairs.
Currently setup with D'Addario Pro-Arte strings and a Wittner fine-tuning tailpiece.
