Circa 1900 Nippon Violin Revoiced by Roger Howell
$1,499.00
While the majority of older fiddles we see are German, another favorite are the Nippon made violins.
They often look very plain on the outside, but viewing the inside of the instrument shows a meticulous attention to detail.
Even better is that this instrument was revoiced by esteemed Mars Hill fiddler Roger Howell; a luminary in the local traditional music scene.
This instrument is lightweight, responsive, and loud! No evidence of any major repairs except the visible top crack on the bass side F-fole.
Currently setup with D'Addario Prelude strings.
Outstanding instrument for anyone looking for their next fiddle.
Case included.
