Rickard/Larry Brown Open-back Banjo

Here is an interesting piece brought in by a good friend of ours . . 

The 11" maple pot was made by Bill Rickard with what looks like a Little Wonder tone ring.  

The mahogany neck was made by local Asheville luthier Larry Brown, a staple in our local Old Time music community.

The super comfortable v-shaped neck has a brass plate extending to the 7th fret on the treble strings. 

We've paired this with an Access Stage one banjo bag.
