"JL" Violin setup by Kate Rickenbacker

Though the "JL" stamp does not turn up much information, we are thinking this a somewhat modern build, and possibly Eastern European. The varnish does not have an antique look to it, and the scroll is too nice to be a typical turn of the century German instrument. 

That being said, this outstanding instrument plays and sounds like an instrument three times the price. Lightweight, resonant, and extremely responsive, this instrument would be great for either a fiddler or step up student depending on the string selection. 

It is currently more of a fiddle setup, with a bridge cut by Black Mountain luthier Kate Rickenbacker.
