Circa 2000 Randy Lucas LD-28

Randy Lucas has been building guitars in his Columbus, Indiana workshop since 1988 and quickly developed a national reputation for creating superb instruments based on prewar Martin and Gibson flattops. 

Though this LD-28 does not have a label or serial number, judging by correspondence from the original owner and Randy starting in 1999, we believe this instrument was delivered in 2000-2001. 

Special ordered with a bound fingerboard, bound peghead with 1920's Torch style inlay, gold Waverly tuners, AAA grade Red Spruce, and AAA grade Brazilian Rosewood, this is without a doubt one of the finest dreadnaughts we have ever had in the store. 

This amazing one owner guitar is incredibly responsive, articulate, and with an incredible amount of headroom for heavy handed players.
