Circa 1971 Gibson SJ Deluxe
Currently the most "classic country" guitar in the store, this super cool 1971 Gibson SJ Deluxe might just be "preprogrammed" with your favorite George Jones or Emmylou Harris tunes.
The story by a family member is that this guitar came home with a Gibson employee because it was stamped as a second. No visible serial number, but the three point pick guard and small block inlays put this right around 1971. Check out those tuning machines!! It is also gig ready with an undersaddle pickup.
This instrument is in fantastic condition for its age with ver minimal play and fret wear. The only repair we see is the evidence of a possible bridge shave to avoid a neck reset. The instrument is still very playable up to the 7th fret, but the next owner might elect to do a neck reset.
Comes with new Access Stage One hard case.
