Circa 1890's Buckbee open back banjo
$699.00
J.H. Buckbee banjos were the first mass produced banjos in the U.S., having been made from the early 1860's until the 1890's.
The majority of Buckbee banjos have no maker's mark, but the neck and headstock shape point this to perhaps a late 1890's Buckbee.
Recently set up with an added frailing scoop and new skin head.
Excellent choice for someone looking for a vintage banjo that won't break the bank.
