This 2019 Thompson D-SMA with Adirondack spruce and sinker Mahogany was owned by a touring musician and 2015 RockyGrass flat picking winner. This fantastic instrument, serial number 1638, sounds phenomenal with tight bass, a vocal-like midrange, and crystalline trebles. It is also gig ready with an installed LR Baggs Lyric pickup.
Being that was a heavily gigged instrument, it has its share of pick scratches, bumps, and bruises. But that means this thing was PLAYED!! And that is why it sounds so good!
The jumbo Evo gold frets have barely any wear indicating a recent refret or dressing.
Outstanding instrument.
