2016 Gibson SG Standard

Why is that a Gibson SG standard hanging in the Acoustic Corner??!?  Why yes it is! When our friends bring us really great instruments, acoustic or electric, we are going to hang them on our wall. 

This 2016 in in outstanding shape with very minimal play wear. This fine Gibson also contains a couple upgrades from the original; new these sell with a gig bag, but this one includes a Gator made hardshell case. Also, the pickups have been swapped for the  Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II Slash signature pickups. But the originals are included as well!! Making this guitar a great deal!!

There is a few finish nicks around the rear control plate cover, perhaps from the pickup swap, but that's the only noteworthy ding.

Gibson voiced the pickups on the SG Standard for tonal characteristics similar to classic late-period PAF humbuckers, but with a slight increase in the upper mids for a more contemporary sound. The 490 matched pickup set really shines when pumping out the classic fat, snarling tone that is the SG’s stock-in-trade.
