2013 Bruce Sexauer FT 15.5 Kerala
Bruce Sexauer has been a professional luthier for 47-years. He primarily makes steel stringed acoustic flattops, but he has made a wide variety of stringed instruments over the years . Bruce's approach would be best described as based in tradition, but he incorporates evolutionary design improvements in his instruments that make them high performance music machines. He also is an accomplished player and he brings those senses and experiences to his craft. Bruce is also one of the few luthiers who works without body molds and can literally make any size or shape a client might be looking for while keeping acoustic sensibilities in mind.
This 2013 FT 15.5 Kerala (serial number 2310413)was one of two guitars Bruce brought to the Healdsburg guitar festival of the same year. As a fingerstyle player, this is perhaps one of the most responsive instruments I have ever played. Clean, clear, and articulate, this a modern fingerstyle players dream instrument. Incredibly balanced and sensitive to playing dynamics.
