1986-87 Gibson Nouveau NV12

Here is a rare one we have not seen before, a 1986-87 Gibson Nouveau NV12. 

The story goes that in the mid 80s, when Gibson launched the line, Nouveau necks and bodies were made in Japan and then were then sent to be assembled and finished in Nashville. This first batch of Nouveaus were branded as Gibsons. Shortly after the launch (most likely due to economic reasons), Gibson shifted the production entirely to Japan and then offered the Nouveau line as Epiphones. The entire Nouveau line was discontinued in 1989. 

This one is in great condition, with only minor play wear. There is one good scratch visible on the back, but no evidence of major repairs. 

Great sounding and playing 12 string with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. 25.4" scale length.
