1978 Gibson ES335TD

These " Norlin Era"( 1969-1983) Gibson's can be a great deal for any musician looking for an affordable or perhaps players-grade vintage instrument without breaking the bank. 

This 1978 Gibson ES-335TD, serial number 71538088, is a great choice for a working musician looking for incredibly versatile instrument. This year of ES included an extra switch for coil tapping, making both humbucker and single coil tones available to the player. 

Finished in wine red, the super cool ES335TD has a few modifications including a TP-6 tailpiece instead of the stock trapeze style. It also looks as though the original tuners were at some time replaced and then put back on. 

This instrument has moderate play wear for its age and is labeled as a factory second, though it is unclear why. There is a small piece of replaced binding on the top of the neck, and that treble underside of the neck has significant finish removal from heavy gigging in the almost 50 years it has been around. The jumbo frets appear original with plenty of life left in them. 

Currently set up with D'Addario Chromes flat wound strings.
