1955 Martin D-18

This outstanding 1955 D-18, serial number 141409, is just the banjo killer you are looking for. 

Belonging to one of our local bluegrass luminaries, this instrument has tight bass, a very vocal-like midrange, and soaring trebles with plenty of overtones. More than enough headroom for even the most heavy-handed player.

This fine instrument has seen some work including some patching on the bass side upper bout, a replaced saddle(and possibly the bridge) and some overspray on the top. You can also see some filled "divots" in the fingerboard in first position. It has had neck reset at one time and a recent refret. This guitar has been lovingly maintained by our own Mark Burin for the local player, and is gig ready with an installed K&K Pure Mini pickup.
