The Larrivee "L" body is an incredibly versatile body shape. If you are looking for the one guitar that can do everything, then this is your instrument. Jean created his famous "L" body after friends in the Toronto folk scene asked if he could build steel string instruments in lieu of the classicals he was building at the time. What resulted is arguably the most popular offering in the Larrivee line. 

Boasting a Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, the L40R is incredibly balanced for fingerstyle playing yet with ample volume and headroom for vigorous rhythm playing.
