1990 Martin D-18MB

One of the most interesting (and best sounding) Martin dreadnoughts we have had in shop for some time, this 1990 Martin D-18MB is sure to turn some heads and perk up some ears. 

This guitar is a rare "guitar of the month" dreadnought featuring an Engelmann spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, forward-shifted X-bracing, and distinctive flame maple binding and headstock veneer. Only 99 were made in it's one year of production. It also features signatures on it's top (inside) of the shop foreman and other workers who built it. 

Serial number 497419 is in fantastic shape, with only minor play wear and a couple dings. Our repair tech Mark Burin did a recent bridge reglue, bone saddle and setup, but no other sign of major repairs.
