1948-49 Gibson ES125 Archtop

By the lack of an FON (Factory Order Number) and the non-adjustable pole pieces on this early P-90 pickup, we are estimating this outstanding Gibson ES125 was made in 1948-49. The adjustable pole pieces came out in late 1949 or early 1950. 

These original P90's were not potted (resulting in degraded windings) so this pickup was rewound by the great Lindy Fralin. 

Outstanding instrument with TONS of vintage mojo that is in fantastic condition. Recent refret with barely any wear, a newer set of Kluson style tuning machines, and an L5 style pick guard make this an instrument that needs absolutely nothing!! Ready to rock for the next 50 years.
