Eastman Mandolin DGM2 "Grisman Model"
Based on rare specimens form David Grisman’s personal collection–exclusively from Eastman! Solid Adirondack Spruce Top, Solid AAA Highly-flamed Maple back, sides & neck. A vintage A-style oval-hole design inspired by the Bacon Artist model of the 1920’s.
This unique “short neck” mandolin is period correct with a throaty oval hole voice, and because they are “period correct” have tuners that (deliberately) turn the opposite direction from standard mandolin tuners.
