2012 Larry Brown LG-2

2012 Larry Brown LG-2
Now retired, Asheville based luthier Larry Brown has been building instruments since 1978. His instruments are highly cherished particularly by the local as well as regional traditional music community.
Though a few of his L-00's have come through the shop in recent years, this is the first LG-2 we have seen.
Perhaps the perfect small-bodied guitar, this 2012 Larry Brown LG-2 copy has classic pre-war Gibson specs with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and nice and chunky mahogany neck with 24.75" scale. The LG body might be a favorite body shape of ours; being incredibly comfortable to play due to it's smaller size, yet loud enough to provide back up for the loudest festival old time session. It's also a favorite of singer/songwriters . . .just ask Chris Stapleton!
This guitar is in great condition, however it has a couple spots where it's obvious that the nitrocellulose finished got a bit heated and "gummy" while in it's case.
Hard shell case included. Great guitar!!
