2008 Martin 175th Anniversary HD-28 with case
Martin D-28s famously sound better with time and play, and this one, from 2008, is really starting to become the guitar it's always wanted to be, with a loud, brassy tone perfect for a bluegrass picker. Over the last 13 years, the cuts of spruce and rosewood have opened up to an impressive degree, giving it wonderful volume and a booming low end that simply can't be had from a bright and tight D-28 that just rolled off the line at Martin's Nazareth factory. As America's favorite guitar and the premier acoustic instrument for bluegrass, country, rock and folk, the D-28 is about as known of a quantity as any model of guitar out there, and most players will understand what they're getting into when they sit down with this well-loved instrument. This particular instrument is also a special commemorative model for Martin's 175th anniversary, and features a diamond volute on the back of the neck and a special engraving on the interior to commemorate Martin's storied history. Great condition with on small ding on the lower bout treble side, and a bit of "Snark burn" on the headstock. Original case included.
