2004 Mark Blanchard Sugar Pine
Mark Blanchard has been building guitars in his Crowley Lake, California shop since 1998. This particular instrument was his first guitar to come out of his Eureka, Montana shop. His instruments are absolutely inspiring to play, and are aesthetically simple yet stunning. A true fingerstyle guitar, the pairing of Engelmann Spruce and Honduran Rosewood make an instrument with tight basses, crystalline trebles and soaring overtones. Plenty of volume yet very articulate and unabashedly responsive. Comes with a lovely "Luthiers Log" filled with photos of its construction.
This custom Sugar Pine model built in 2004, which is essentially a 12 fret 000.
