2004 Collings MF5

Sometimes instruments happen to show up in pairs, and this one-owner 2004 Collings MF5 walked in the door just two days after our 2004 MT2 was listed. 

This well loved MF5 (serial #541) belonged to a long time Asheville bluegrass player so it has all the right wear in all the right places. It's been recently refretted with Evo Gold fret wire, comes with  a K and K mandolin twin pickup, and includes a black Superior case. 

This instrument has had one repaired top crack on the bass side f-hole, and at one time had a separation of the back center seam. All repairs were and pickup install performed by our own Mark Burin, and are all stable. 

This mandolin is loud, punchy, and articulate, with a punchy midrange and crystal clear highs. Outstanding instrument!
