1958 Gibson LG-2
We love small-bodied Gibson guitars, and this amazing little 1958 LG-2 just might be the perfect body shape. With it's sunburst spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this guitar is the x-braced big brother to the ladder braced LG-1.
The guitar sounds and plays great with a fresh setup and new compensated bone saddle by our own Mark Burin. The highly visible "T" FON on the neck block dates this guitar at 1958. This instrument has its share of bumps and bruises (including a missing inlay and the typical Gibson treble side sound hole crack) but is still in fantastic shape for a 66 year old guitar. The bridge looks to have been off at one time, but it is still the original. Someone upgraded to solid brass bridge pins and it also comes with a non-original hard shell case.
Awesome guitar great for a singer/songwriter. Old Time musician, or anything else!
