1956 Gibson Country Western

1956 Gibson Country Western
Here is a great early example of a Country Western, or as it was known just a few years later, a SJN Country Western, that is at a great "player's-grade" price.
This early model, which is basically a natural finished Southern Jumbo, boasts a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. It's barely visible factory order number indicates a "V" dating this to 1956.
This instrument has had a well done refinish many years ago, and just had a refret, new saddle, and new pickguard from esteemed Asheville luthier Justin Eisenmann. There are two small cleats visible on the back where a small crack was repaired some time ago.
Overall for it's age, this guitar is in great condition!
Has that great warm, woody tone that only a Gibson slope-shoulder and old wood can provide.
Newer "featherweight" style case included.
