1914 Gibson A4 Mandolin

We see quite a few A-0's and A-Jr's, but not many A4's, so we were delighted when this beautiful and historical instrument came into the store. 

Serial number 19224 is in fine shape, with only one very stable back crack to report. Besides the adjustable bridge, everything on this beautiful instrument is original, including the highly desirable and ornate Handel tuners that appeared on select  Gibson mandolins until 1918. Like many of these, the pickguard is long gone. 

This instrument has that beautifully rounded sound that we all know and love from Gibson A's, and we will be equally at home in Old Time, Classical, Jazz, and Celtic situations. 

Come with a newer featherweight style case and it's original case.
