The F-9 is a beautifully built Nashville-made mandolin that is simply but tastefully appointed, and features all the tone and feel of the much more expensive F5.
Carved spruce top with black top binding, unbound figured maple back and sides; figured maple neck with classic scroll headstock, rosewood overlay and pearl Gibson inlay. Unradiused rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot markers and 20 frets; ebony adjustable bridge, nickel-plated engraved tailpiece and matching tuning machines. Satin lacquer finish with sunburst on every surface. Beautiful color, nicely applied thin finish.
This is a well-cared for used instrument, lovingly broken in by an outstanding local player.
